Wear Hair Halfway Back

To make this style more grown-up, take the top section of your hair from temple to temple and lightly tease the underside with a paddle brush. Skim the brush over the surface of hair to smooth it, then secure at the back of the crown with a simple metal or tortoiseshell barrette.

I decided to edge it out a little bit with a dark purple lipstick. what do you think?

So here I am. I've teased my half pony into a bouffet. I was having a bit of a bridgit bardot moment. I was wearing an american apparel Dress as a Long top with an AA circle skirt over.
I'm trying to make it a goal to wear at least one DIY piece in every style pic I take. The belt was incredibly simple to make. I went and bought a medium sized elastic ribbon along with a very beautiful buckle.

I was sort of inspired by the 60s. I was feeling more along the lines of Hitcock meets Bardot
In the first picture I was wearing dark lipstick.While striking dark lipstick isn't for the faint of hear, I thought it was crazy how my shade of lipstick transform my look. In the picture below
I have a nude lip going on. It made my look transform from slightly edgy to sweetface. I have to admit I changed it for my boyfriend. He hates lipstick on me ( for the same reasons most guys do) but he real detested the dark shade. I honestly prefer lipstick to lip gloss. I have pretty full lips already, gloss would just accentuate them. I don't know how I feel about it on older women yet. I think it would make more sense for an older women with thinning lips to use gloss but I guess the stigma of it being used my teenie boppers on a more then regular bases. WHat do you think?
